Previously known as Tallawanta Hotel, construction on Harrigan’s Irish Pub and Accommodation began on the 27th January, 2000 – with the doors being officially opened on 21st April that same year.

Named after a song from the musical Yankee Doodle Dandy which was written by George M Cohen, (a young Irish man living in New York in the 1800’s) – Harrigan’s opened in April 2000 and was known for a while as the Tallawanta Hotel. It was the first pub in the Pokolbin region. Harrigan’s is a favourite with both locals and visitors alike and to this day it is the only pub located within the vineyards.

Located on Broke Road, just 2 minutes from Hunter Valley Gardens, Harrigan’s has grown over the years to include 48 accommodation rooms along with function and conference facilities. Here at Harrigan’s, we’re proud to offer great meals, accommodation and service with a relaxed atmosphere- Harrigan’s is a place you can bring your family and friends for any occasion.
